Public Safety Notice: Robberies, 10/07/2012

For the protection and safety of SU students, faculty, staff and neighbors, the Department of Public Safety releases the following alert:

Robberies

Date Issued: October 7, 2012

Case Numbers 12-465591, 12-465988, 12-466002

Various Locations

Incident #1: On Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 8:20 pm two students reported being robbed by four males in Oakwood Cemetery near Comstock Ave. A silver colored revolver and large knife were displayed. No injuries reported.

Incident #2: On Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 3:29 am a student reported 3 males attempted to rob him in the 700 block of Ostrom Ave. The student ran away from the suspects. No injuries reported.

Incident #3: On Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 3:45 am a student reported being robbed by three males in the parking lot of 703 Walnut Ave. One suspect threatened the use of a knife, none observed. The student received a scraped knee.

DPS asks for your help in identifying a suspect if you were in the vicinity at the time of the incident. For this purpose, the following is the description of the suspects:

Incident #1: 4 suspects, similarly described as male, black, 5’ 9”, 170 lbs, between 16 and 22. Clothing: All wore sweatshirts; Blue and red Buffalo Bills, blue and orange hooded, white hooded, gray hooded.

Incident #2: 3 suspects, male, black, 5”10” to 5’11” late 20’s, one w/ facial hair, Clothing: Reddish brown jacket, blue hooded sweatshirt. No description of third suspect.

Incident #3: 3 suspects, male, black, 5’8” to 5’10”, 150 to 160 lbs between 16 and 19, Clothing: Large puffy jacket no clothing description on other two.
