Update Regarding Off-Campus Robbery

SPD Case # 16-464230, DPS Case # 16-464294 (September 21, 2016)

As an update to the Off Campus Strong-Arm robbery Public Safety Notice issues on September 18th (SPD Case # 16-463374 ), The Department of Public Safety issues this update, as a second incident was subsequently reported as occurring in the same area two block away and several hours earlier on the same date.

Sunday, September 18, 2016 at approximately 3:30 am. – 300 block Stratford Ave.
On Monday, September 19, 2016 the DPS received a delayed report from a student regarding a robbery that occurred off campus. The student reports he was walking westbound in the 300 block of Stratford Ave, which is in the vicinity of the previously reported incident on Stratford Ave. The student states he was approached by three unknown males. The student turned over personal property during the robbery. The student reports one of the suspects displayed what appeared to be a firearm. A white vehicle approached and the suspects ordered the student to enter the vehicle. The suspects fled the scene in an easterly direction. The student was released a short distance away from the scene. The student sustained minor injuries.

DPS asks your help in identifying the suspects if you were in the vicinity at the time of the incident. For this purpose, the following is the description of the suspects:
3 Males, #1 male 5’9” all dark clothing, short curly hair. #2 Male, 5’6”, dark sweatpants and white T-Shirt, buzzed hair or bald. #3 Male, 5’10”, thin build, dark sweatpants.
