The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is actively investigating a reported bias incident that occurred at an off-campus apartment in the 800 blook of Comstock Avenue at approximately 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27.
A student was walking into the building when two unknown individuals reportedly used anti-Asian language. Both individuals are described as male, one of whom was wearing a white winter hat. DPS officers conducted a canvas of the area for suspects and spoke with several individuals in the building.
The University is focused on supporting the impacted student while the investigation continues.
