Department of Public Safety, Syracuse Police Department Investigate Dec. 4 Bias Incident

The Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Syracuse Police Department (SPD) are actively investigating a bias incident that occurred on Euclid Avenue, near Ostrom Avenue, on Wednesday, Dec. 4. A Latino male and female reported being verbally harassed by an individual driving on Euclid Avenue who reportedly yelled a racist comment out the window. There was no physical altercation. DPS met with the two impacted individuals and continues reviewing evidence, including security camera footage.
