Personal safety is about more than knowing how to respond in the moment — it’s about building awareness, confidence, and the skills to recognize and avoid dangerous situations before they escalate.
The DPS Women’s Self-Defense Course is a comprehensive, hands-on program designed to empower participants with practical knowledge and physical techniques they can carry with them for life. The course covers:
- Awareness and prevention — understanding your environment and recognizing potential threats
- Risk reduction and avoidance — making informed decisions to stay safer in everyday situations
- Hands-on defense training — learning foundational physical techniques taught in a supportive, encouraging environment

Courses are taught by trained DPS instructors who are committed to making self-defense education accessible, approachable, and effective for every participant — regardless of fitness level or prior experience.
