On Friday, June 4, 2021 at approximately 6:41 p.m., the Syracuse Police Department (SPD) received a report of an attempted armed robbery that occurred on the 900 block of East Genesee St. An individual reported that the suspect displayed what appeared to be a silver handgun and demanded their belongings. The Syracuse Police Department and the Department of Public Safety are on the scene and investigating this incident.
