Public Safety Update: Robbery

On Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at approximately 7:21 p.m., a student reported being approached by two unknown males in the 400 block of Van Buren Street near the corner of Almond St. The student stated one of the males displayed what appeared to be a black handgun and demanded the student’s property. The student handed over food and money. The suspects fled the scene on foot, heading west on Burt Street, away from campus. No injuries were reported.

If you were in the vicinity at the time of this incident, the Department of Public Safety (DPS) asks for your help in identifying the suspects. Suspect #1 is described as male, 5’6”, 18-20 years old and wearing all dark clothing. Suspect #2 is described as male, 18-20 years old, 5’8”, heavier set, wearing all black clothing.
