On Sunday, Oct. 31, at approximately 2:52 a.m., an individual, with no affiliation to the University, was reportedly assaulted by a group of young teenagers, also not affiliated with the University. The incident occurred in the area of Ostrom and Euclid Avenues. The victim reported that, during the assault, one of the suspects displayed what appeared to be a small black handgun. The suspects fled the area on foot and were last seen heading eastbound on Euclid Avenue. No injuries were reported.
Other than the suspects being described as young male teenagers, there is no further identifiable information at this time.
The Syracuse Police Department and the Department of Public Safety are actively reviewing security camera footage. The investigation is active and ongoing.
